Zahra Alfreji began her journey in the world of design in 2019, with little more than a passion for beautiful spaces and a determination to create something of her own.
The beginning was not always easy. Like many meaningful journeys, hers was shaped by challenges, learning and countless moments of uncertainty. But with every step, Zahra continued to refine her eye, trust her instincts and turn her passion into something tangible.
From carefully selecting individual pieces and bringing them together in her early beginnings, to developing a distinctive design language of her own, Zahra's journey has always been guided by one simple belief:
Beautiful design is not about filling a space. It's about understanding it.
For Zahra, every room has its own character. Every corner has a purpose. Every piece should have a reason for being there.
She approaches design by considering the way a piece fits within its surroundings — its proportions, materials, textures, tones and the feeling it creates within the room.
A console should complement the wall it stands against.
A chair should belong naturally to its corner.
A table should balance the space around it.
And the smallest decorative detail can sometimes be what brings an entire room together.
Over the years, Zahra's work and distinctive eye have allowed her name to become increasingly recognised in Melbourne, while her passion for creating considered interiors has continued to evolve.
